Agnus castus has never been linked to any significant side effects, but minor problems are possible. Stomach upsets, itching and rashes have been noted. Agnus Castus must not be given to pre-pubesant girls.


The Tincture or Fluid Extract can be taken directly by adding the correct recommended amount to filtered water. However some people find the bitter taste of herbs in this form to be too strong, so the Tincture or Fluid Extract can be added to fruit juice to sweeten.

However in some cases it is preferable to evaporate the alcohol before taking the Tincture or Fluid Extract. This is advised with babies, children, the elderly, and if someone is sensitive to alcohol or recovering from alcohol addiction. This is very easy to do.
Agnus Castus Tincture:
Traditionally Taken: Take 2-3 ml 2-3 times per day.
or as directed by a Herbal practitioner.

20 drops from the glass dropper equals approximately 1ml.
