Bakuchiol - is a plant photochemical, found in the leaves and seeds of the Psoralea corylifolia plant. It is a potent antioxidant, visibly reduces skin discolourations from environmental exposure, and has a pronounced soothing effect on skin. Bakuchiol shares the same pathways as retinol so it has the ability to activate their receptors, delivering similar benefits, without the side effects. Because of its different chemical structure to retinol, it is stable under UV exposure so safe to use during the day.
