Safety In Beauty

Safety In Beauty

With an increase of horrific conditions and dissatisfaction caused by beauty treatments and clinical procedures, Antonia Mariconda decided in 2013 to launch #SAFTEYINBEAUTY . Since then the campaign has gained much support by industry professionals and experts in the beauty, aesthetic and clinical fields. “More and more cases of patients and consumers being left with adverse effects from unsafe treatments and providers are emerging,” said Antonia Mariconda, U.K.-based cosmetic coach and founder of the Safety in Beauty Campaign.

As a professional educator as well as a progressive skin therapist this is a welcome and refreshing concept that I and my business partner,  Stephanie Collins of MARSTE Academy support.  The #Safetyinbeauty Campaign aims to offer further education to customers and give them confidence to seek the proper and appropriate treatments, care and advice. To make them feel they are in safe hands and that all information is available and transparent. So important, especially when many clients and patients may feel intimidated even walking into the reception of a clinic or salon. It also helps to reassure and offer support to individuals when starting the journey of improving their appearance through progressive skin or clinical treatments.

At the beginning of June I attended the launch of the Beauty Tracker App at W Hotel in London. Antonia and law firm Irwin Mitchell joined forces to design and create theBeautyTracker App which enables clients and patient to log details of treatments, practitioners and clinics. The App also has a library of links to sources that can offer help

and guidance if the treatment or service was unsatisfactory. Beauty Tracker is available free to download from the App Store.

“Irwin Mitchell have been incredibly supportive to the Safety in Beauty campaign. The creation of BeautyTracker is revolutionary and pioneering, and as the first app of its kind launched in the

UK, I am pleased to fully support this tool dedicated to empowering and protect the consumer.” Said Antonia Mariconda

Antonia also hosted The White Party at Home House in London to raise awareness for #Safetyinbeauty and also to raise funds for The Katie Piper Foundation who is an amazing woman and inspiration to us all. The party was an elegant affair with the industry’s finest dressed to impressed in white. I attended and met some amazing people as well as meeting some of my pals, so fun was had by all as well as bringing awareness to a great cause. Well done Antonia!
